The Vacancy
Our Third Party Administration department is a dynamic team managing a diverse portfolio of clients, providing market-leading service for Defined Benefits, Defined Contribution, and CARE pension arrangements.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Pensions Administrator to join our Client Services team in our Birmingham office.


Role Overview: As a Senior Pensions Administrator, you will deliver high-quality administration services, assist members with complex pension issues, and support the development of less experienced team members.


Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain and update member records accurately.
* Process member events including retirements, deaths, early leavers, transfers in and out, and illustrative quotations.
* Serve as a reference for technical issues and non-standard cases.
* Escalate complex technical queries to the Team Leader and technical support team.
* Provide consistent and efficient service to all internal and external clients/members in line with agreed service levels.
* Work with the Principal Administrator and Team Leader to improve operational efficiency's.
* Manage annual and periodic scheme events.
* Coach and assist less experienced administrators in developing their skills and confidence.


Qualifications and Skills:
* Experience in day-to-day pension administration and working with DB, DC, and CARE pension arrangements.
* Strong commercial awareness of the UK pensions market and up-to-date knowledge of relevant pension legislation, technical developments, and industry best practices.
* Proficiency in using pensions administration systems such as UPM or similar.
* Experience in client care or customer service, with effective and confident telephone communication skills.
* Ability to juggle multiple tasks and effectively plan and organise your workload.
* Exceptional communication skills, being clear and concise with clients, members, and colleagues.
* Ability to work well as part of a team and lead by example, including coaching and developing junior colleagues.
* Ideally, candidates will hold a professional qualification such as Associate Membership to the Pension Management Institute or be working towards it. However, we welcome applications from those with relevant industry experience and knowledge of the UK pensions market.
