Remarkable Jobs are thrilled to partner with one of our esteemed clients, in the recruitment of a Stock Controller for their headquarters.

The Stock Controller is responsible for accurately recording rental inventory status, setting up new product descriptions and codes, and configuring equipment kits, substitutions etc. This role involves collaborating with external software suppliers and in-house departments to enhance database performance and provide training and support for company systems at the European headquarters and other sites.

Stock Controller Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure all rental assets are barcoded and accurately entered into the Rental Tracking System.
• Coordinate with the Purchasing team to correctly record all purchases and create product codes for new items.
• Resolve legacy issues such as naming conventions, phantom barcodes, and incorrect stock listings.
• Enhance the asset database with weights, photographs, and detailed information, either individually or through managed processes.
• Complete projects to improve inventory database user rights and security levels.
• Participate in evaluating the repairs and retirement process for accuracy and efficiency.
• Incorporate new acquisitions into the existing database and support the Quality Control team.
• Work with the in house system to enhance its business use and become a superuser, assisting in training and delegation.
• Support operational teams across all sites with transfer jobs, detailed analysis, and reporting.
• Process equipment/production transfers and backdated checkouts once trained.
• Provide remote and in-person inventory systems support to all locations.

Stock Controller Key Skills:

• 5 years’ of experience working in a busy, stock based environment
• Knowledge of the entertainment lighting or equipment rental environment is desirable, but not essential
• Experience dealing with external software suppliers and in-house departments
• Experience in organising stock takes and cycle counts including liaising with Auditors.
• Proven track record improving database performance
• Happy to work in a site based position
• Occasional travel when necessary, to other sites in the UK
