Summary


We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Early Years Leader to run a play room and care for the children of staff at the Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust. We require a reliable, flexible member of the team showing initiative and commitment. An ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in written form will be essential. Applicants must have a minimum Level 5 qualification in Childcare and Education and level A-C in GCSE English. The role of the Room Leader is to manage and supervise a team providing a safe, welcoming and warm environment for the group care of babies, toddlers and pre-school children.

The aim of this role is to develop the social, emotional, physical and intellectual capabilities of the child, providing a learning environment that offers a range of play experiences and activities.

• To team lead a staff group.
• To be responsible for the nursery in management absence.
• To carry out performance development reviews with your staff, setting objectives and giving constructive support in performance development.
• To carry out regular supervisions of staff to monitor development.
• To take the lead in planning and organising the smooth running of a group room.
• To plan, hold and record team meetings.
