Summary
A new opportunity has arisen for a Cleansing Operative to assist in the delivery of Conwy Council’s Open Spaces cleansing service.
As the Cleansing Operative, you will be:
- Providing general front-line support to members of the public in a courteous manner
- Responsible for general cleanliness of an area, including mechanical hand sweeper along with litter collection using a hand cart
- Emptying litter and dog bins on a daily basis
- Report community needs and defects, including street signs and bins.
- Interact professionally with the public
- Distribute and remove sandbags during inclement weather
To be considered for the Cleansing Operative role, you will need:
- A good work ethic, physically fit due to the nature of the role and happy to work outdoors
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Your own steel toe cap safety boots, other PPE will be provided
- The ability to drive a 7.5 tonne vehicle is desirable
This is a temporary on-going role offering an hourly pay rate of £11.98 (enhanced rates for weekend and bank holiday) per hour plus holiday pay, working 5 out of 7 days per week.
