Summary
As a Royal Mail Specialist service driver, your shift will start by planning your delivery route to a schedule, whilst multi drop experience is an advantage it is not essential.
Your responsibilities then include collecting and delivering pouches, parcels, tote boxes to small and large businesses in our portfolio. You will scan items on and off route to ensure tracking information is available to customers and colleagues. You must enjoy driving, even at peak hours and be able to lift and carry parcels weighing up to 30kg.
Due to the nature of the business, you will be required to pass a credit & criminal record check and be able to supply a 5-year written reference.
We are seeking individuals who are keen on a flexible work pattern as there is a mixture of start times outlined below.
Mon - Fri mornings:
6:00am - 2:00pm
Mon - Fri afternoons:
12:00pm-8:00pm
Pay rate:
£13.37 per hour
Requirements for this role include:
- A Category B Driving Licence, ideally experience in driving sprinter vans but not essential
- Have good delivery experience
- Able to follow instructions
- Be able to work independently or as part of a team
