Job Overview:
Join our team as a Fire & DSEAR Advisor on a prestigious contract in Yeovil. You'll ensure comprehensive Fire Safety and DSEAR compliance, develop and implement safety strategies, and promote a proactive fire safety culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert advice on fire safety management.
- Conduct and review Fire Risk Assessments (FRA).
- Prepare FRAs for refurbishment projects and new buildings.
- Oversee DSEAR Risk Assessments and control measures.
- Investigate fire incidents and recommend mitigation measures.
- Maintain knowledge of fire safety legislation and regulations.
- Act as the main contact for petroleum licensing and fire insurance consultations.
- Build strong relationships with Fire and Rescue Services.
Requirements:
- Professional certifications in Fire Risk Assessment or Fire Safety (CFPA, NEBOSH Fire Certificate, Level 4 Diploma).
- Minimum GIFireE qualification or equivalent in Fire Safety Management.
- Membership in relevant bodies (NAHFO, IFE, IFSM, IOSH).
- Experience conducting Fire Risk Assessments and hazardous area classification.
- Strong understanding of fire safety legislation and DSEAR/ATEX Risk Assessments.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with stakeholders.
- At least 10 years of relevant experience, including 5 years focused on DSEAR and Fire Risk Assessments.
