Job Overview:

Join our team as a Fire & DSEAR Advisor on a prestigious contract in Yeovil. You'll ensure comprehensive Fire Safety and DSEAR compliance, develop and implement safety strategies, and promote a proactive fire safety culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice on fire safety management.
  • Conduct and review Fire Risk Assessments (FRA).
  • Prepare FRAs for refurbishment projects and new buildings.
  • Oversee DSEAR Risk Assessments and control measures.
  • Investigate fire incidents and recommend mitigation measures.
  • Maintain knowledge of fire safety legislation and regulations.
  • Act as the main contact for petroleum licensing and fire insurance consultations.
  • Build strong relationships with Fire and Rescue Services.

Requirements:

  • Professional certifications in Fire Risk Assessment or Fire Safety (CFPA, NEBOSH Fire Certificate, Level 4 Diploma).
  • Minimum GIFireE qualification or equivalent in Fire Safety Management.
  • Membership in relevant bodies (NAHFO, IFE, IFSM, IOSH).
  • Experience conducting Fire Risk Assessments and hazardous area classification.
  • Strong understanding of fire safety legislation and DSEAR/ATEX Risk Assessments.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with stakeholders.
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience, including 5 years focused on DSEAR and Fire Risk Assessments.
