Full Job Description - Software Tester Consultant
Location: Milton Keynes office (Hybrid/Remote )
Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Software Tester Consultant to join our team.
The Role :
The ideal candidate will be an ambitious and engaged Software Tester Consultant who is passionate about quality and testing. The candidate should have hands-on experience in all aspects of Software testing including system, system integration and user acceptance testing. You be comfortable working with stakeholders to define quality test scenarios and should be adept in identifying and raising quality software defects. The candidate should have recent experience working in agile and waterfall environments.
Responsibilities:
Support scoping and estimation of effort for each user story added to the Product backlog
Review the project requirements and work with technical team members to clarify details before creating test scripts
Risk based prioritization of the requirements in collaboration with business and technical teams
Prepare test plans to demonstrate requirement fulfilment against business condition and anticipated results
Prepare test scripts against acceptance criteria/definition of done for user stories or requirements
Execution of test scripts using the appropriate mix of automated and manual techniques, and record them in the standard test management tool
Work with internal external development and test teams to identify and resolve defects, issues and blockers
Provide accurate and timely reporting of test progress to all Stakeholders
Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with the schedule and quality requirements
Key Skills & Experience:
Solid functional test experience across system, system integration, end-to-end and user acceptance testing
Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, industry standards, and tools
Proven track record of testing complex integrated systems at an enterprise level
Experienced in defining and maintaining quality test scenarios and scripts using various design inputs
Competent in identification and creation of quality system defects
Experienced in providing regular and accurate updates on testing progress through project trackers
Confident communicating and collaborating with client stakeholders and third parties
Experienced in Waterfall and Agile delivery methodologies
