Summary

We are seeking a Senior Support Worker to work closely with the team leader for a man with autism who requires support to rediscover his independence and rebuild his life.

As a Senior Support Worker, you will be expected to step in and help Lewis and the team when the team leader is away, providing guidance, encouragement, and assistance to empower Lewis to overcome challenges and achieve personal growth. Your responsibilities will include all those of a support worker, plus assisting your team leader and help your team to excel in the amazing task of providing the best possible care and having always Lewis best interests at heart.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals with autism and a strong understanding of its complexities. You must possess excellent communication skills, empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to make a difference in someone's life.

Essential for this job:

Must hold a full UK driving licence and own a car
Good Computer Skills
Some experience in Leadership

Ideally you will:

Have some leadership skills
Good understanding and experience within the autism spectrum
Be reliable, able to lead from the front when necessary and called upon
Be committed, in it for the long-term
Be self-motivated and able to work independently, adapting to changing needs
Have a good sense of humour
