Salary: £15.00 - £16.00 per hour, Depending on Experience.
Working Hours: Monday – Thursday 8:00am – 5:00pm & Friday 8:00am – 1:00pm.


About The Role:

The company apply paint finishes to a wide range of Commercial, Aerospace and Defence components.

They are currently seeking a dedicated and organised Production Supervisor to join their small team.

As part of the role the Production Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the factory, ensuring efficient workflow, high-quality output, and a safe working environment. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively manage a team of painters and workshop personnel.

Key Duties (But not limited too)

Workshop Management:

• Organise and supervise all activities within the factory, including scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow management.
• Ensure that production targets are met while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
• Monitor inventory levels of materials and supplies, and coordinate with purchasing department to ensure timely replenishment.
• Be the point of call between the office and the factory.

Supervision of Painter’s Workflow:

• Directly supervise around 10-15 Painters and other workshop staff, ensuring they are working efficiently to the order to maximise output.
• Manage and control internal systems, ensuring they are kept up to date.
• Conduct regular inspections of finished products to ensure adherence to specifications and customer requirements.

Housekeeping and Safety:

• Ensure housekeeping standards are kept high, to maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and company policies.
• Ensuring uniform standards are where they should be and staff are wearing the correct PPE for the right job.

Quality Assurance:

• Collaborate with quality assurance team to address any quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain documentation related to quality inspections, processes, and procedures.

Candidate Requirements:

• Proven experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of production processes, equipment, and materials used in painting and finishing operations is advantageous but not required.
• Familiarity with Health and Safety Regulations and best practices is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications would be beneficial.
