Summary

This post provides an exciting opportunity for a Senior Administrator to help co-ordinate a range Breast Cancer activities and research projects being conducted across the University of Nottingham and to assist with awareness, marketing and fundraising initiatives for Nottingham Breast Cancer Research Centre (NBCRC).

The post will be based on University Park campus with flexible work patterns possible. The post-holder will provide support to the Director and Deputy director of NBCRC, viz Professor Stewart Martin and Dr Andrew Green, and to the local Breast Cancer Research community with a view to increasing cohesion, raising the profile of the Breast Cancer research being conducted locally, and raising awareness of Breast Cancer generally.

The post holder will be required to work independently, flexibly and with clinical/academic and administrative staff, assist with fundraising events, and web design/maintenance, and take responsibility for general organisational matters in a pro-active manner. Applicants should be proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, e-mail and web communication and have good written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Awareness of Breast Cancer types and treatment options, or of current local breast cancer research initiatives is desirable.

The post is offered on a fixed term contract until 30 June 2026. Hours of work are part time, 18.12 hours per week (0.5 full time equivalent).
