Summary
We are currently recruiting for a client based in Nelson who are looking for a Beam Saw Operative. Although this is initially a temporary position their could be a permanent position for the right person.
The Saw Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining saw equipment to cut wood to various specifications.
Responsibilities/ Skills :
• Operate saw equipment to cut wood accurately and efficiently.
• Adjust machine settings to ensure accurate cuts.
• Must work well under pressure with tight deadlines.
• Quality awareness and attention to detail essential.
• Good housekeeping/cleanliness essential.
• H & S compliant at all times.
• Experience of working within a wood working environment.
• Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations.
• Knowledge of tooling and mechanical processes.
Hours of work:
• Monday - Thursday 8am - 5pm / Friday 8am - 12 Noon with 30 minutes for lunch + 2 x 15 minutes breaks.
