Job Information

The Assistant FM will provide support to the Contract Manager and Facility Managers in the management and delivery of contractual obligations and client expectations.

Monitor and report on Service Delivery performance monthly or as requested by the client.

Provide support to the cleaning supervisors across the 5 sites ensuring consistency of delivery.



Main Duties

-Undertake successfully all training required to deliver the AFM role and promote core skills training and communication within the teams.

-Work within a variety of teams and under their own initiative.

-Adhere to all Mitie Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental policies and procedures, ensuring all sites are fully compliant.

-Audit all service streams, including cleaning, catering, grounds, security, and site teams regularly to allow monitoring and feedback against the contract and relevant SLAs.

-Assist in the planning of periodic cleans and planned works ensuring schedules are updated accordingly.

-Assistant in performance management requirements within the cleaning team offering support and advice to site cleaning supervisors.

-Ensure all equipment is kept clean, well maintained and is a safe working order.

-Work alongside Site Managers to report and remedy any maintenance requirements identified during audits.

-Promote the need for security - locking doors, following lost property procedures etc.

-Have a full knowledge and understanding of the cleaning service and schedules including the agreed work specification and time allocated to facilities.

-Support in the validation and submission of time management systems.

-Ensure sufficient supplies and maintenance of all cleaning equipment, materials and approved chemicals used by Mitie.

-Support in the completion of Capex submissions in order to maximise equipment availability and innovations.

-Complete weekly hazard spotting and upload into the system whilst promoting the LiveSafe culture.

-Set a good example in terms of dress, behaviour, punctuality, and attendance.

-Ensure all Safeguarding Policies are always adhered to and raise any concerns in line with the Mitie policy.

-Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

-Ensure contractors and external visitors comply with security and health and safety while on school premises.

-Build positive and productive working relationships with all customers, delivering excellent customer service and seeking ways to continuously improve and exceed expectations.

-To undertake any other related duties which are within the job holder's capability, according to the needs of the business.
