Summary
ersonal Assistant required for a 9-year-old boy with Downs Syndrome and is visually impaired and non-verbal. He is happy and thrives and is stimulated by music. He enjoys swimming, football, the swings at the park and kayaking.
Living in the Camborne area.
Personal Assistant required to support independence, encourage his awareness of danger and provide full supervision.
Makaton is encouraged, not essential but desirable.
1:1 support required and to accompany on occasional family outings.
Personal care may be required.
Flexible hours with evening, weekends and school holidays desirable
£12.00 an hour plus 45p a mile (Business Class Insurance required and mileage paid only when young person is in the vehicle)
The successful applicant will be employed under a private arrangement with the family. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
All offers of employment will be subject to the successful candidate undertaking an enhanced DBS check; this administration process will be undertaken by Cornwall Council.
