At SEA we have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team in Bristol. You will be responsible for the design, implementation, test and integration of software artefacts to support the delivery of projects and products.
To work part of an agile team to deliver software engineering capability across a range of products and systems to meet project and customer delivery in a timely and cost-effective manner.

What you’ll be doing
Overview of responsibility
• Design of software architecture, components and interfaces
• Design of Scientific Models with UML e,g, Enterprise Architect.
• Modify, improve and test changes to large, existing codebases in C++
• Mentor junior developers to help them improve the quality of their coding
• Support junior developers to improve their understanding and implementation of the software development lifecycle
• Support definition of software work packages (scope, estimates, costs)
• Support definition elements of solutions to support bids and enquiries

• Software design (UML)
• Agile development
• Maths / Physics background
• CI / CD + software lifecycle
• Product Development
