Barnstaple based (with a mix of office and home-based working)

We have an impactful and exciting opportunity for a Senior Systems Engineer to join our Barnstaple team. You will be required to progress the design, development, design proving, test, commissioning and in-service support of the equipment as part of a multi-disciplined team.

What you’ll be doing
• Managing Requirements throughout the Engineering Lifecycle
• Proving Technical inputs to bidding activities
• Integration and production qualification activities
• Taking Prototypes and developing them into Products
• Work Package generation and execution

The skills you need
• Degree, HND or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Coordinate and lead the delivery of engineering work packages
• Manage the capture, analysis, traceability, configuration and V&V of product requirements
• Provide technical expertise and support to the Business Development function including the generation of technical proposals and bids.
• Define system architectures that will drive system design
• Knowledge of military systems and hardware development
• Awareness with requirements management tools and processes
• Experience with naval design (Weapons & Sonar) and underwater acoustics would be desirable
