Summary
Personal Assistant required for a happy and active 9-year-old boy who lives in the Bodmin area.
He has ASD and is pre-verbal and he would like someone who he can build up a positive relationship with and provide him with some 1:1 support.
He would like someone to accompany him to outdoor activities and swimming.
A personal assistant will enable him to enjoy accessing different areas of his local community.
Up to 5 hours per week are available, although this is flexible.
Mainly weekend and school holiday availability will be required.
Car driver preferred but not essential.
Some knowledge or personal experience of working with young people with special educational needs is essential.
The successful applicant will be employed under a private arrangement with the family. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
All offers of employment will be subject to the successful candidate undertaking an enhanced DBS check; this administration process will be undertaken by Cornwall Council.
