The Community Infection Prevention and Control Team are looking for an enthusiastic team player to join them on a secondment / fixed term basis to support care homes, extra care, supported living and non-CQC registered adult social care services such as day centres.

If you have experience working within the community as an IPC link professional this would be perfect opportunity to enhance your knowledge and skills within an established team.



The role will focus on improving infection prevention and control standards by primarily undertaking audits, data collection and supporting with guidance and delivering bespoke training packages.

Contribute to the education and support of the infection prevention & control link group networks.

Participate in the formal and informal infection prevention and control education of all disciplines of staff, patients, and their carers.

Maintain accurate, legible, and timely records of patient care using the ICNet electronic system.

Participate in the infection control audit and surveillance programmes and support the dissemination of findings.

Support the implementation of change and the development of the infection prevention and control service, facilitating the change process whilst encouraging others.
