About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate PE Teacher (SEN) to join our team at a specialised SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) school in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality physical education to students with special educational needs, fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

PE Teacher (SEN) Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver, and assess engaging PE lessons tailored to the needs of students with SEMH.
- Develop and implement individualised education plans (IEPs) for students, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
- Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment that promotes physical activity and personal growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to support students' holistic development.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively, using positive behaviour support strategies.
- Monitor and report on student progress, adapting teaching methods to meet diverse needs.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and continuous professional development opportunities.

PE Teacher (SEN) Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialisation in PE.
- Proven experience as a PE Teacher (SEN), preferably in an SEMH setting.
- Strong understanding of the challenges and strategies involved in teaching students with special educational needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students with a range of abilities and backgrounds.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
