Position: Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant

As a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in the pupils' educational journey by providing tailored support and guidance. Your empathetic approach, along with your skills in deescalating challenging behaviour, will contribute to maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.

Responsibilities:
- Work closely with classroom teachers to provide one-on-one and small group support.
- Utilise your knowledge of psychology and behaviour management techniques to deescalate challenging situations.
- Assist in the development and implementation of individualised education plans (IEPs) and behaviour intervention plans (BIPs).
- Foster a supportive and encouraging environment to promote social and emotional development.
- Collaborate with the SENCO and other professionals to ensure effective support for Pupils with SEMH needs.
- Engage Pupils in a variety of educational and extracurricular activities.

Requirements:
- A degree in Psychology or a related field.
- Experience working with children and young people, preferably within Key Stages 2 to 4.
- Strong understanding of SEMH and behaviour management strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
- Ability to adapt and be flexible in a dynamic educational environment.
