Have you got experience working with children or adults who have SEND or Social Emotional or Mental Health needs? Have you worked as a support worker or in the care field? Perhaps you have a psychology or education related degree?
Monarch Education are honoured to work alongside a Special Educational Needs and Disabilities setting in the Godalming, Surrey area who are looking for a passionate teaching assistant to join their team! This role will be full time (Mon - Fri) from 8:30 a.m - 3:30 p.m, term time only. However, the school will accept part-time hours for the right candidate.
The job…
Working in an alternative provision secondary school for 5 - 17 year old's who have a variety of SEND. You will need to support students with their work, help regulate their emotions and to model and teach appropriate interactions.
The ideal candidate will...
- Have experience with SEND children or young adults with Social Emotional or Mental Health needs
- Have a professional manner
- Have a range of behaviour management strategies
- Have a desire to help and nurture children
- Build great relationships with staff and children
- Be able to work on site and off site, managing behaviours in both areas
