Summary

Teaching Assistant at Outstanding Primary School

- Position: General Teaching Assistant with 1-1 Support for a KS2 Pupil with Visual Impairment
- Location: Primary School in Sloane Square, South West London
- Hours: Full-Time, 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday
- Contract: Ongoing into 2025
- Start Date: After Half-Term, 10th June

Are you an experienced teaching assistant with a passion for supporting children's education and well-being? An Ofsted Outstanding primary school in the beautiful area of Sloane Square is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic learning support assistant.

About the Role: This is a unique opportunity to work as a full-time general teaching assistant whilest also providing specialized support to a child in Key Stage 2 (KS2) with visual impairment. You will play a crucial role in both the classroom environment and the child's individual learning journey.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers with classroom management and lesson preparation.
- Provide 1-1 support to a KS2 pupil with visual impairment, ensuring their full inclusion in all activities.
- Adapt learning materials and resources to meet the needs of the visually impaired student.
- Support the pupil's social and emotional development.

Requirements:
- Experience working within the education sector is essential.
- Experience working with visually impaired children is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting children's learning.
- An enhanced DBS on the online update service.
