Summary


The Women's and Children's Directorate are looking for a Gynaecology Booking Clerk for their Clinical Assessment Unit to work full time in their CAU at the Tunbridge Wells Hospital at Pembury in our Gynaecology Department.

The role involves the booking of Inpatient operations and outpatient appointments, answering telephone calls and monitoring waiting lists in line with Trust policy, booking patients in chronological order.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in this varied role. You will need excellent communication skills and be dedicated to providing an efficient and effective service. You will work closely with members of the Gynaecology [both clinical & administrative] team and also other members of the CAU team to ensure patients are seen in a timely manner.

You will be IT literate, able to meet deadlines and have an attention to detail. Knowledge of All scripts and ERS would be highly desirable but are not essential, as training will be provided. You must be methodical and organised in your approach and thrive on the opportunity to make a genuine difference.

Act as a contact point, liaising with patients, as well as clinical colleagues to ensure that the organisation & efficiency of all patient admissions are appropriately planned and managed.

Must manage own workload dealing with and resolving issues as and when they occur without direct supervision on a daily basis maintaining confidentiality at all times, ensuring target dates are maintained.

To ensure that any patient cancelled by the Trust is re-booked within appropriate timescales.

To be responsible for the addition, removal and modification of patients to and from the waiting list
