Summary


Would you like to join our friendly Maternity Ward Clerk team at York Hospital?

In this role you will provide a wide range of Ward Clerk administrative tasks, including Clerical support and Reception duties within the Maternity Unit.

The role is varied and busy, and as part of our team you will also provide clerical support across the wider Women’s Health department.

The post requires Ward Clerk cover for all Maternity Wards 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You will therefore be working as part of a team working shifts of varying patterns throughout our rota. These will include some nights, weekends and bank holidays

Shift times may include:
• 08:00-16:00
• 08:00-20:00
• 16:00-20:00
• 20:00 - 08:00

You will be self-disciplined, motivated and be empathetic to all those you come into contact with. It is essential that you can prioritise your own workload, possess sound communication skills, work as part of a team, but also exercise initiative within set parameters.
