Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join us as a trainee Funeral Operative. All training will be provided by our experienced team. This role will suit an individual who is happy to work ‘in the background’ but it is an essential role for our Funeral Business to operate. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is keen to learn.
Responsibilities include:
*Preparation and care of the deceased
*Removal of the deceased from private houses, hospitals and nursing homes
*General organisation of our preparation room and coffin store
*Maintaining excellent standards of our fleet of vehicles, e.g. valeting and polishing
*Driving , Pall Bearing and assisting at Funeral Services
Other Duties
*General maintenance of the premises, e.g. cleaning, sweeping, gardening, pressure washing, etc
*The role can evolve as experience is built
Qualities and skills required:
*A good work ethic and ability to work independently and as part of a close knit team
*Empathy towards others, pride to represent Pendle Funeral Services
*A conscientious approach to completing tasks with a strong attention to detail
*Manual Handling (training will be provided)
*Smart and presentable appearance
Essential
*Clean UK Driver’s Licence
*Availability Out of Hours (evenings and weekends) to carry out removals
*Good reliability and time management
Working Conditions
*Salary and holiday entitlement to be discussed at interview
