Summary
The FTSU Guardian's role is designed to contribute to achieving the following outcomes: Workers throughout the organisation have the capability, knowledge, and skills they need to speak up themselves and to support others to speak up. The FTSU policy and processes are clear and available to all staff, regularly assessed for their effectiveness and improved accordingly. Individuals are supported when they speak up and barriers to speaking up are identified and tackled. The Board and senior leaders maintain an oversight of the FTSU activity through working in partnership with the FTSU team (meetings, reports etc.). Information provided by speaking up is used for learning and improvement. There is a safe environment to speak up and speaking up is encouraged throughout the organisation. The Board and senior leaders actively promote the FTSU culture throughout the Trust and work with the FTSU team to address barriers to speaking up and develop new ideas and initiatives. FTSU culture is consistent throughout the organisation.
