Summary

Personal Assistant required for Learning Disabled person.

Applicants may have prior experience with severe Learning Disability care.

That may include awareness of appropriate risk taking in the home and in the community.

Some food preparation MAY be required.

Basic food hygiene certificate will be provided by employer if applicable.

Successful employees MAY need to administer medication consisting of a measured dosage in liquid suspension cup.

General work involves cognitive stimulation and help with making appropriate choices during the day.

Other matters to personal care on interview.

A respectful, calm and friendly manner is essential.

Various permanent shifts available:

These are:

Waking Shift 04:30 - 09:00
Morning Shift 09:00 - 12:00
Lunch Shift 12:15 - 14:15
Day Shift 14:30 - 17:00
Evening Shift 17:00 - 20:30
Full Day Shift 09:30 - 15:30

Shifts can be agreed on application as required.

Shift times may be varied via an email reporting system and will be published on a calendar rota - on a weekly basis (upon agreement) - to accommodate mothers with children or carers of relatives.

Advanced DBS Certificate will be required.

Contract of Employment will be issued to successful applicants (details on interview).

Successful applicants can expect friendly, professional and respectful working conditions in a private residential property.

Training on the job will be provided to any sucessful applicant without prior experience of Learning Disabled Care.

Formal training will be offered to successful applicants if there is a need arising.
