I am a young man with Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) and Dyslexia who is seeking a PA to support me with organisation and accessing the community. Due to my ADD and Dyslexia I struggle with organisation and can be word blind, as such I am seeking someone who can provide prompts and reminders with general tasks and assist me with setting up activities such as art gallery shows. I also require someone who can support me to access the community by providing transport to social and leisure activities such as music venues, my running club and the gym, this will also include ensuring I arrive to such activities on time.
Location: NR3
Duties to include:
- Providing prompts and reminders with general tasks.
- To assist with organising social and leisure activities e.g. running club, gym, music venues and art gallery shows.
- To provide prompts and reminders to such activities.
- To provide transport to social and leisure activities e.g. running club, gym, music venues and art gallery shows.
- Any other reasonable duties as requested.
Essential
- Driving license vehicle with own vehicle and appropriate business insurance cover.
- Good organisation skills and management.
- Patience is required as you may find yourselves reminding and prompting many times a day.
- Sense of humour, compassion, kindness and understanding of ADD and dyslexia.
Desirable
- Interest in music and art is preferable but not essential.
- An interest in fitness preferred with free gym access when with employer (not hourly paid) as part of the role.
- Understanding of ADD and severe dyslexia.
- The rate of pay for this position is £11.68 per hour.
- You will be reimbursed for petrol which at present is 45p per mile.
- Hours and times of work: Flexible working basis, up to 10 hours per week. Hours may increase when there are gallery shows or music events.
The post is subject to the following
- A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer.
- Satisfactory references from two referees, one of which must be your current or last employer.
- Completion of a satisfactory probationary period of 3 months.
