Summary

The Role and Department

As a member of the technical services team, the Infrastructure Specialist (Network) will perform tasks equivalent to a network engineer to ensure the integrity and high availability of the network infrastructure so that it provides the maximum performance for users. The post holder will be responsible for coordinating support around the configuration, deployment, and maintenance of the network infrastructure. This will encompass switches, routers, firewalls, telephony, wireless, fibre and copper infrastructures.

The post holder will demonstrate a high level of technical knowledge and competency and an enthusiasm to undertake continual professional development to further their expertise. The Infrastructure Specialist (Network) will have experience of delivering outstanding customer service, possess risk management skills and the ability to convert business requirements into viable technical solutions. Be able to organise workloads by prioritising and multi-tasking.
