Summary

Wolfdale School is an Independent Specialist School with multiple sites in Leicestershire. Our provision is for young people with an Education Health and Care Plan and those with a diagnosis including Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, Anxiety, and Social Emotional Mental Health.
We are a growing school seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and approachable Teaching and Learning Assistant Level 2.Permanent, full time role.
Covering 5 days per week, 8:30am – 4:30pm on a Wednesday and all remaining days 8:30-4pm, 39 weeks per annum
“Our mission is to enable young people with Autism to reach their full potential by building resilience and removing social and emotional barriers to enable educational achievement and develop individuals’ personality.”
The role will provide support to students within the school following the timetable provided.
The role will ensure students feel supported and support us with our aims to provide a positive and fun learning experience.
We offer lessons inside and outside of the classroom and lessons that use personal interests. We learn in the forest and at the stables and use local shops, buses and leisure centres, enabling us to have a Bespoke approach where students can learn through experience.
You will be:
Able to promote and support the development of our students
Supporting the students in all aspects of their learning.
Able to monitor learners’ responses to activities and modify your approach accordingly.
Encouraging participation in both structured and unstructed learning times.Approachable, positive and adaptable to change.
Able to set clear boundaries and learn new skills whilst being patient and friendly.
