Gi group are proud to be working in partnership with a well-known Infrastructure services company, who are one of the most well-known in the UK, the company in question are looking for a Field service supervisor.
Job Role:
As a Field service supervisor, you will be tasked to support the Contract Manager in delivery of Reactive and Pre Planned maintenance contracts within Basingstoke and surrounding areas.
Typical Duties will involve:
- Maintain an accurate asset base within the designated area, ensuring compatibility with the necessary CAFM system.
- Train engineers to possess the essential skills for first-line reactive tasks and scheduled maintenance within their area, certifying their qualifications and awareness of associated risks and safety measures.
- Arrange after-hours engineering support in collaboration with other contract managers and the service centre.
- Participate in both formal and informal company communication channels, including management meetings and team briefings.
- Handle initial stages of disciplinary issues, keeping detailed records of all performance-related discussions.
- Serve as the initial contact for employee absences, overseeing adherence to procedures and conducting return-to-work interviews.
- Manage the planned preventative maintenance work schedule to ensure it is up to date.
- Update the Contract Manager or client on the current condition of their properties as needed.
- Escalate operational issues that require assistance from beyond your immediate jurisdiction.
- Help prepare quotes and estimates for minor repairs and replacements costing less than £10,000.
- Comprehend the operation's cost structure and contribute to the company's cost reduction and supply chain enhancement.
- Conduct audits within to guarantee uniformity and the adoption of best practices for safe and efficient service delivery.
Desirable experience
- Extensive experience in a Hard services role (engineer or Supervisor)
- IOSH
- Understanding of industry standard contracts
- Excel/Word Knowledge
- SC Clearance or could ability to gain SC clearance.
