Summary
Join us as an Engineering Lead Charge-hand and we'll take your engineering skills to the next level with the use of our First Bus career development program.

What will you be doing?
-Communicate with Traffic control and asses Peak Vehicle Requirement (PVR) for morning and afternoon run out.
-Control and schedule morning workload / Inspections using INFOR.
-Plan weekly inspection / MOT program.
-Control holidays and update weekly attendance spreadsheet.
-Update weekly payroll spreadsheet and send to Central Pay office.
-Control and update spreadsheet for weekly Overtime.
-Analyse vehicle fault trends using INFOR and Power BI.
-Communicate vehicle issues with Engineering Manager / Workshop Planner.
-Update daily spreadsheets on Vehicles Off Service (VOR)
-Take on Supervisor role in periods of absence.
-Communicate with outside agencies / contractors.
-Daily walk rounds to ensure workload / workforce are not encountering difficulties.
-Carry out vehicle inspections in periods of absence
Hourly rate: £21.60 + £2,000 Sign-on Bonus!!
Shifts: Monday to Friday, either 08:00 - 16:000, or 09:00 - 17:00 )
Who are we looking for?
-You must have a minimum level 3 NVQ standard qualification in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (i.e., City & Guilds level 1 & 2) in a relevant Vehicle Repair subject.
-Must have a valid UK drivers' licence and have held it for a minimum of 6 months.
-You must be a UK resident and be able to provide proof of right to work at interview stage.
-You must be willing to undertake full medical and security checks to be allowed on site.
