We are a busy Community Mental Health Team working with Older Adults in North Manchester. Our client group (over 65 years) either have a functional or an organic diagnosis. We are looking for a part time .Support Worker to join our friendly team . The post is for 22.5 hours a week

The role is varied and interesting and is a valuable part of our service



The post holder will work as part of the multi-disciplinary team

The post holder will provide support, advice and practical assistance to an allocated group of service users under the direction and supervision of a qualified member of staff. This is to support in delivering a care plan as agreed with the service user and /or their carers where appropriate.

The post holder will report back to the qualified member of staff with any concerns or safeguarding issues.

The role involves providing practical support including wellbeing checks as needed. This will involve travelling across the North Manchester area and seeing people in their own homes.

Participating in Support Worker Duty Rota

Attending daily Zoning meetings

Whilst this post requires no professional registration, experience within mental health is desirable but not essential if the candidate can demonstrate an awareness of issues that can affect older adults with mental health needs
