Summary


The Allied Health Professions (AHP) Workforce Education & Training Lead will be responsible for supporting the Chief AHP in leading the strategic development and implementation of the Trust’s AHP workforce agenda. Working across the system, the post holder will work closely with existing internal structures including clinical groups, Learning and Development department (L&D), AHP Stratetigc Leads, Practice Educators and AHP networks, and external organisations, including Health Education England (HEE) and the South East London AHP Faculty.

This role will be instrumental in ensuring that the AHP workforce is recruited and developed to contribute to and lead in the provision of outstanding, evidence based patient care and professional development. The post holder will support the development of solutions for expanding AHP clinical placement capacity and lead the implementation of these ideas. The post holder will also have a portfolio of work programmes to lead and develop further programmes of work that support the development of the AHP workforce across the Trust, including apprenticeships, return to practice and new role development, such as preceptorship programmes.

• To represent the RMH AHPs in the NWL and SWL AHP Faculty (sponsored byWTE) working closely with its members and the faculty lead to support achieving priorities and continuous staff development.
• Identify need for skills development in relation to clinical placement expansion amongst the AHP workforce presenting options and solutions.
• Coordinate clinical placement data collation and analysis as required.
• Initiate, organise, facilitate and participate in events such as workshops
• Proactively develop proposals and recommendations for new education and development programmes to help improve AHP practice across the Trust and to support world class AHP training and development.
