Job description
Prospect Training Services (PTS) has a vacancy for a lively, energetic and inspirational tutor to drive forward and own our Progression and Enrichment curriculum and delivery to our 16–24-year-old Special Educational Needs (SEN) young people as part of a dynamic team here at PTS.
As an experienced SEN and qualified professional Tutor, you will be well versed in evolving and formulating already established Progression and Enrichment curriculum to support learners with their career and progression pathways, that is also interactive and engaging to inspire our young people. You will be accountable for the curriculum for our learners in these two key educational areas and digital skills will play a fundamental element of the curriculum so you will need to rely upon excellent ICT skills as well as familiarity with digital delivery.
The Enrichment curriculum is a chance to help shape young people and is a vital part of developing their transferable knowledge, skills and behaviours to develop their independence skills.
You will deliver and assess the Progression qualification and Enrichment curriculum classes to SEN 16–24-year-old young people to support their development and independence skills for those who are actively looking for placement, employment and training opportunities in line with their career aspirations as part of their educational Programme. You must have a passion for supporting our learners to progress during their course but also into suitable and sustainable progression opportunities.
Applicants should as a minimum possess a teaching qualification (L3 or above teaching qualification) and hold a Level 2/GCSE qualification in English and Mathematics. Delivery experience in English and maths Functional Skills would be advantageous.
Experience of working with and delivering to SEN learners is vital. You will be delivering the Progression and enrichment qualifications to our learners as well so an Assessor’s qualification would be desirable but not essential.
Experience of and empathy for working with our young people. You will possess strong written and verbal communication skills and be able to demonstrate accomplished classroom management. Your ability to work as part of a small team and deliver your curriculum and organise your contract administration will set you apart from the rest.
Applicants need to use innovative delivery methods to deliver the above subjects to learners making these subjects fun and engaging. Good time management and planning skills are essential.
Specification
• A progressive approach to delivery and curriculum formulation
• Experience of working with SEN learners
• Proven experience of delivering Progression and enrichment curriculum
• Experience of digital delivery to learner groups.
• Experience of Functional Skills delivery is beneficial
• Good general level of education (Teaching qualification, ideally hold a Level 2 qualification in Mathematics and English or equivalent)
• Will be people-focussed, highly presentable and display excellent customer/stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Excellent delivery and presentation skills
• Outstanding coordination and organisational skills
• Inspirational approach
• Demonstrable track record of student achievement
• Innovative, fast thinking and versatile

Salary: Up to £26,000.00 per annum pro rata
