Technical Wiring Operative

We would like to expand our team and have opportunities for a Technical Wiring Operative to support our manufacturing and wiring team.

Job Title: Technical Wiring Operative
Company: Forwessun – Woodend Industrial Estate, L24
Position Details: Permanent, starting immediately
Hours: 37.5 Hours per week; Monday to Thursday – 08:30 to 17:00; Friday – 08:30 to 14:30 (Open to Part Time hours candidates)
Starting Salary: £12.50 / hour (£24,375 base per annum)
Overtime available, paid at 1.3x for weekdays and 1.5x for weekends.
Job Specification
Forwessun supports the electronics industry worldwide and is currently looking to increase its manufacturing and assembly team.
The role will include:
• Working within a small manufacturing team.
• Wiring of test fixtures;
o Reading and comprehending Electrical wiring schematics
o Planning panel layouts for efficient wiring paths.
o Use of an automatic wire wrap gun for small gauge wires.
o Use of soldering iron for multistrand wires.
o Use of Wire crimps and Strippers
o Use of semi-automatic wiring machine
• Following test engineer documentation
• Verification of completed work with point-to-point checks and automated procedures when possible.
• Common electronic component identification
• Manual assembly of test fixtures;
o Screw fitting
o General hand tool usage
o Assembly of intricate small and large parts
• Highly precise craftsmanship and high attention to detail
• Able to work independently and efficiently.
• Completion of QA checks throughout the manufacturing process, resolving issues found until systems work consistently and reliably.
• To be aware of company health and safety requirements
