You will advance your clinical expertise and leadership skills working. You’ll have access to an array of internal and external training, including our leadership courses. Use your acquired skills to direct one of our multi-sited dietetic working groups in the progress of clinical policies; a preceptorship pathway; pre-registration placements, research projects; electronic outcomes; or health and wellbeing initiatives.

With outstanding clinical knowledge, interpersonal skills, & leadership abilities, you will be responsible for the delivery of dietetic services in the transplant team. We are a national centre for heart & lung transplant, ventricular assist devices (VAD) & extra-corporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO).

Whilst in this fixed term post, you’ll guide your team of dietitians and dietetic assistant to deliver, evaluate & improve practice to ensure high quality, evidence-based, patient-centred care. Supporting patients throughout their transplant journey from assessment, into critical care & on to rehab clinics.

An expert in your clinical field you will provide supervision to pre & post-registration dietitians. Proposing learning opportunities, contributing to competency achievement, & coaching them to advance their professional practice.

A highly experienced autonomous practitioner with a dietetics degree or equivalent & registered with the HCPC; you’ll assess the nutritional condition of patients with complex needs, make comprehensive dietetic diagnoses, request diagnostic tests, give treatment options, & provide evidenced-based advice. As the consistent practitioner, you’ll review outcomes & adapt care plans to facilitate patient centred goals.
