Summary

The Lookout Day nursery is based in the beautiful countryside, in Monkton Farleigh near Bath. We opened in September 2020 and have grown from strength to strength in both children numbers, staff team but also the environment we offer for all our children and families. We very proudly were awarded with an 'Outstanding' from OFSTED during our inspection in August 2023.
We are a nature inspired nursery, with a forest school ethos, as well as taking influence from Montessori, Reggio Emilia and Hygge approaches. We believe in a responsibility to the environment, a true passion for nature and the outdoors and all the benefits this brings to the children we care for.
We are a purposefully small setting, small enough to nature each child’s individual needs and interests but big enough to have the knowledge and ambition to inspire the children that anything is possible….
Our Values are to Nurture, Care and Inspire. And we aim to deliver this to all the children with are lucky enough to care for. When children join us they have the time to play and explore, the opportunity to talk and question, wonder and investigate, build the confidence to discover, create, and learn. At The Lookout, you will find spaces full of imagination and creativity that carefully weaves all aspects of learning and development across our indoor and outdoor environments, designed to enable the youngest minds to flourish.
