Summary


As the Administrative Lead, you will spearhead a team of 5 administrators within CAMHS in Barrow, South Cumbria. Your responsibilities will include monthly supervisions, conducting appraisals, and ensuring seamless coordination among the team. You'll be the driving force behind efficient administrative operations, making a real difference in the lives of those we serve.

Simultaneously, as the Medical Secretary, you will support our esteemed Consultants by managing appointments, diaries, referrals, and discharges. Your role will be pivotal in maintaining the workflow, allowing our medical professionals to focus on what they do best – providing exceptional patient care.
• Dynamic Work Split:You'll enjoy a balanced work week, spending 2.5 days as an Administrative Lead and 2.5 days assisting the Medical Secretary. This dynamic division ensures every day brings new challenges and learning experiences.

Specialist provision comprises inpatient child and adolescent mental health services, perinatal mental health and forensic services including low and medium secure care.

The Post Holder will have excellent planning, negotiation, diplomacy and interpersonal skills. The post holder will have knowledge of all the relevant customer service and administration procedures applicable to this role as well as the ability to deal with non-routine activities that arise. Problem solving is an integral part of the role.

The role will involve contact on a daily basis with a wide range of people – both internal and external to the organisation and therefore requires a confident approach. The post holder will need to be a team player with very strong communication skills.

The post holder will work flexibly in response to the needs of the service providing cover and leadership to various sites, ensuring continuity in service provision.
