Summary


We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic senior Diabetes Nurse Specialist to help lead the Diabetes nursing team across University Hospital Dorset.

The diabetes specialist team are part of a specialist service providing high level care for patients with diabetes across Dorset. We are keen to rollout the new Hybrid Closed Loop technology for our patients and require a band 7 nurse to provide an integral role in the team for the future.

Applicants for this post will require specialist diabetes knowledge and experience in using technology in adult diabetes care. The post holder will join the service at an exciting time as we progress with the redesign of acute care across Dorset; therefore it is essential that the successful applicant is forward thinking, and able to work cohesively.

The workload is demanding, and requires day-to-day interaction with a wide range of the multi-disciplinary team. The post holder will therefore require strong resilience and advanced communication skills. The workload is also hugely varied in its nature.
