Summary

Site Services General Maintenance Hard FM Services.

The Purpose of this job role is to work with the Hard Services Team to ensure the Facilities Management service agreement undertaken by for their customer, North Wiltshire Schools PFI, is of the standards required and expected as outlined within the Contract terms. Adherence to company policy and procedures and Health & Safety requirements.

Site Services General Maintenance Technician

Delivering property maintenance and building services in line with the contracted agreement to the school site. Ensuring service delivery is undertaken within allocated timescales and budgetary targets.

  • Supporting the Hard Services Team in the delivery of day-to-day operations of the North Wiltshire School PFI Contract, including opening and closing of schools, room and exam set-ups.
  • Working closely with the Hard Services Supervisor to ensure the school operation meets the Contract SLAs and KPIs, ensuring all documentation is completed in a timely manner and of the expected quality.
  • Monitoring work in progress to ensure timely job closure through the Facilities Management System.
  • To undertake and ensure all planned maintenance tasks are completed in a timely manner. Ensure Statutory Compliance records are updated, retained and are ready for inspection when requested.
  • To complete and submit all required information, reports and paperwork as requested by management.
  • Ensuring the smooth running of the day-to-day maintenance delivery to sites allocated.
  • To work to and maintain a high level of personal and site Health & Safety and be proactive in reporting near miss incidents.
  • To be responsible for all visitors and contractors whilst under the management of, reviewing Risk Assessments and issuing Permits to Work where required.
  • To take action and control of all maintenance breakdowns and obtain quotations to rectify or repair works as required.
  • To form part of the call out roster, alternate weeks.
  • Ensure the safe custody of keys, fobs and access cards as entrusted.
  • Ensure all reactive jobs are logged through the Help Desk, completed and signed off within the allocated time.
  • Carry out audits of facilities as required by the Contract Agreement and Management.
  • Management of lettings for the site including the administration and liaison with the customer prior to and during the letting.
  • Carry out grounds and garden inspections.
  • Be proactive in litter picking, spillage clearing and assist cleaning teams as required.
  • Undertake any other duties as requested by the Hard Services Manager.

Key Skills

Must have a good understanding of Plan Preventive Maintenance methods.

  • Must be able to demonstrate good working knowledge of maintenance activities.
  • Be able to show good understanding/knowledge of the requirement to meet statutory requirements.
  • Have a good M&E working background, preferably a good trade background.
  • Have a proactive approach and be a problem solver.
  • Enhanced DBS required.

Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, shifts between 6am and 10pm
