Are you a highly motivated and enthusiastic Paediatric Nurse who enjoys working as part of an innovative and dynamic Paediatric Team? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you at The Hillingdon Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

The paediatric in-patient ward, Bumblebee has recently moved to a new purpose-built home. This new ward has a large footprint and includes twelve isolation cubicles with ensuite facilities, two of which are designated for high dependency care, and three four bedded bays.

The paediatric services at The Hillingdon Hospital consists of a 24-bedded general medical and surgical ward, which includes a level 1 POSCU, 5-bedded paediatric day care unit, a four bedded day surgical ward, and a paediatric outpatients department. Paediatric services at Hillingdon also included of our award winning, dedicated paediatric diabetes team; paediatric respiratory and allergy services; paediatric oncology and paediatric epilepsy service and level 1 HDU service. We also have close links with our paediatric community nursing team; paediatric emergency department; PATCH service, neonatal unit and child development centre.

The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is the only acute Hospital in the London Borough of Hillingdon and offers a wide range of services including accident and emergency, inpatient care, day surgery, outpatient clinics and maternity services. Band 5 Paediatric Staff Nurse

The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

Upholding the Trust CARES values and under the supervision of senior colleagues be responsible for the assessment, care planning, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care for a group of paediatric patients.

Once assessed as competent administer oral and intravenous medication in accordance with Trust policy.

Promote continuing education and professional development by attending training as necessary and act as a Practice Supervisor or Assessor to student nurses in training.

Work collaboratively as part of the paediatric nursing workforce to support other areas of paediatric practice as necessary such as paediatric day care, neonatal unit
