We partner with a range of mainstream Primary Schools in Hackney, who are currently looking for their next cohort of passionate graduates to join them in September 2024.

Experience is not essential for this role. We are seeking graduates with a genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of young children every day. These roles will involve working with children with SEND, including ASD, ADHD, and MLD.

If you're contemplating a career in education and live locally to Hackney, this is the perfect way to gain a real understanding of day-to-day school life. For the best graduates, this could lead to permanent roles at the school or even teacher training opportunities.

Job Duties:
- Supporting the lead teacher in delivering lessons and activities
- Assisting with classroom management and student supervision
- Providing one-on-one support to students with learning difficulties
- Preparing and organising educational materials
- Assessing student performance and providing feedback

Required Qualifications:
- A degree in Education or a relevant field
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A passion for working with children and helping them achieve academic success

Education:

A Bachelor's degree in Education is preferred, but other degrees will also be considered.

Working Conditions:
- Working hours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday
- Classroom-based role with potential for outdoor activities
- May involve standing for long periods and occasional lifting of educational materials
- Working in schools local to Hackney

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We undertake safeguarding checks on all workers in accordance with DfE statutory guidance 'Keeping Children Safe in Education', which may also include an online search as part of our due diligence on shortlisted applicants.

We offer FREE online safeguarding and Prevent Duty training to all our workers. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and subscribe to the DBS Update Service. Full assistance provided.
