We are looking for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join the dedicated staff of our partner school. You'll collaborate closely with classroom teachers and the SENCO to offer tailored support to children with a variety of special educational needs, such as autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and speech and language difficulties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing one-to-one and small group support to students with special educational needs, both within and outside the classroom.
- Implementing EHCPs and behaviour management strategies to address the unique needs of each student.
- Assisting in planning and delivering differentiated lessons and activities to ensure all students can access the curriculum.
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and external professionals to adopt a holistic approach to student support.
- Creating a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child feels valued and supported.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g. , CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools).
- Strong understanding of various special educational needs and strategies to support them.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach to working with children.
