With a commitment to inspire and support young learners, we are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated General Teaching Assistant to join their Year 2 classroom team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Year 2 teacher with the preparation and delivery of engaging lessons and activities.
- Provide support to students during classroom activities, ensuring a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a safe and orderly space for all students.
- Work with small groups or individual students to reinforce learning concepts and provide additional assistance as needed.
- Support the teacher in assessing student progress and providing feedback.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as organizing materials, setting up equipment, and maintaining classroom records.
- Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with young children, preferably in an educational setting.
- A patient, caring, and enthusiastic attitude towards working with children.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of child development and educational practices.
