Summary

Are you a kind, devoted person who would be excellent at assisting pupils with their learning?

A school in Blackpool, Lancashire is seeking to hire a dedicated, understanding, and adaptable SEN Teaching Assistant to assist the students with their progress and overall well-being. The primary goal of the school is to prepare students for life, so the chosen candidate must have the students' best interests at heart.

This position is initially until July 2024 with the potential to extend into the next academic year, for the right candidate.

Key responsibilities:
- Building a tight, encouraging bond with the students to ensure that they feel secure and love studying.
- Supporting individuality and growth while upholding high standards
- Support the class teacher in the day-to-day management of the class.
- Work closely with small groups or provide one-on-one sessions to foster students' social, emotional, behavioural, and physical development.
- Be able to deal effectively with a wide range of needs, such as ASC, ADHD, and challenging behaviour.
- Adapt any tasks to the needs of the student to aid the efficient operation of the school.

Relevant skills/qualifications:
- A GCSE (or equivalent qualification) pass in Maths and English
- Knowledge or experience of pupils with SEN or SEMH/ASD
- Always maintain a positive and resilient attitude

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
