Summary

An SEN School in Lambeth is looking for 2 Classroom Assistants to join their team from September 2024, for a contract lasting 1 academic year.

Located in the London Borough of Lambeth, this SEN school seeks 2 Classroom Assistants to provide long-term support, working on a 1:1 basis, supporting children both in mainstream classrooms and within the Autism Unit.

Previous experience working with individuals with SEN, especially autism (ASD/ASC), and/or profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD) is essential. Familiarity with PECS (picture exchange communication system) and Makaton (language communication program) is desirable.

Responsibilities include assisting students with ASD and/or PMLD in their learning, both individually and in groups, and may involve aspects of personal care.
- Role: 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant - Autism/Severe Learning Difficulties
- Salary: £375-£500 per week, paid weekly
- Holiday Pay provided during school holidays
- Full or part-time position (Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 4 pm)
