Summary

One of the UK’s leading independent healthcare providers is looking for a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) to join their state-of-the-art oncology unit in Guildford.

Fully “Good”-rated by the CQC, the wider hospital offers elective medical and surgical care across diverse clinical specialties to patients from Surrey, Hampshire, West Sussex and beyond.

The oncology unit is home to a holistic team of medical, nursing, allied health, pharmacy, and complementary therapy professionals, together offering comprehensive interventions (including surgeries, SACT, hormone and radiotherapies) to treat a wide range of cancers and support quality of life throughout. The team are proud to have achieved BUPA Breast Care, Bowel Care, and Living Well with Cancer accreditations and a 5-star Macmillan Quality Environment Mark.

Opportunities are now available for Clinical Nurse Specialists in the following sub-specialties:

• Breast cancer (permanent, up to £55,000 p.a.)
• Upper and lower GI / hepatobiliary pancreatic cancers (12-month FTC, up to £49,455 p.a.)

As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will provide outstanding cancer care, advice and guidance to patients and their loved ones. You will work closely with the medical and surgical oncologists to influence therapy delivery, provide advanced clinical services to patients at the unit, and act as a role model for best practice to more junior team members.

Ideally you will cover full-time hours (37.5h) but part-time hours may be considered.

Person specification:

• (Essential) Registration with the NMC as a Registered Nurse (RN Adult).
• (Essential) Significant professional experience in a relevant oncology sub-specialism (breast / upper and lower GI / HPB)
• (Essential) Professional experience with post-operative oncology care.
