• You will increase your skill set by working with multidisciplinary teams to deliver all admin support across many different areas within the Trust.

Are you:
• Excited at the prospect of supporting our Trust by serving food in either our Staff Restaurant or Ward Level Patient Meal Service?
• Able to play a key role in our catering team, which may include the following duties:
• Preparing vegetables, fruit, salads, sandwiches, toast, beverages and other food items
• Working as a Pot Wash and supporting the catering stores area
• Working as a ward operative, preparing and serving food directly to patients’
• Working as a kitchen porter, providing additional support as required in our catering preparation unit
• Supporting services within the Coffee Shop both Barista and Serving customers
• Providing services within the staff Restaurant including serving food, cleaning of restaurant areas, washing up duties
• Cooking and preparation of basic food items within both CPU and the main Staff Restaurant
• Handling cash and the ability to use a cash till.

• Preparing, pre-wrapping and date stamping and pricing as appropriate menu items, e.g., salads, sandwiches, some cold sweets, cheese and biscuits etc.
• Preparing of workstations for the service of meals
• Serving and/or dispatching of meals for patients, staff, visitors and special function guests.
• Dispatching of meals for patients, staff, visitors and special function guests (via the conveyor belt system where applicable).
• Assisting Chefs as and when required with food preparation in readiness for cooking
• Preparing and cooking of specific food items for servery
• Cleaning of premises including floors, walls, sinks, wash hand basins, work surfaces, cupboards, toilets etc.
• Cleaning of large items of equipment including ovens, refrigerators, mixing machines, brat pans, boilers etc.
• Washing of crockery, cutlery and other utensils and small items of equipment
• Cleaning of food trolleys, general purpose trolleys, bain maries and hot cupboards etc.
• Maintaining agreed standards of food hygiene at all times.
• Taking items to and collecting items from wards and other departments as required.
• Replenishing of Vending Machine and completion of necessary paperwork.
• Loading / unloading and movement of meal service trolleys and insulated food boxes.
