Summary

Position: Control Room Operator

Shift Pattern: 7/3/7/4 (3 days, 4 nights, 3 days off, 4 days, 3 nights, 4 days off). You will be required to work days/nights/weekends/bank holidays. Shifts are 07.00 - 19.00 and 19.00 - 07.00.

Pay rate: £14.61 per hour plus a £10.74 shift allowance per full shift worked.

We are looking for an organised, efficient, and experienced Control Room Operator to join our security team for Mitie Business Services. The Operator will conduct regular camera patrols, respond to Help Desk jobs (unlocks, emptying confidential waste bins etc.), cover positions on the floor when required, conduct external patrols if required, check passes, have knowledge of the building and its occupants, have a good knowledge of the Assignment Instructions, monitor alarms in the Control Room and know how to respond to them and assist the Control Room Deputy Operations Manager/Operations Manager with any other Control Room duties. General duties such as signing keys in/out, answering the telephone and dealing with queries, and issuing radios will also form part of the role. Our ideal candidate will have awareness of the laws across, The Private Security Industry, Health and Safety for the Private Security Operative, Fire Safety, Technology and Systems in the Security environment and Emergency Procedures.

The above description of the role is not exhaustive, and other duties may be required as deemed necessary by your line manager.

Please note, you will need to have passed a communication assessment prior to commencing work in the Control Room. You will also need to successfully complete Critical Incident Management training within your probation period. This forms part of the shift allowance payment.

Essential

-SIA guarding & CCTV licences required.

-IT literate - ability to use computer systems.

-Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

-CTC cleared (to be applied for as part of the recruitment process if not held). Minimum 3 year residency criteria.

-Flexible attitude to work.

-Excellent ‘Customer Service' skills.

-Previous experience of working in a security Control Room.

-Attention to detail.

-Ability to contribute to the team.
