Description
We are seeking a qualified Legal Assistant to join our team. As a Legal Assistant, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our legal team and assisting with various legal tasks. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our legal department and the effective delivery of legal services to our clients.
In this position, you will work closely with attorneys and paralegals, providing assistance in drafting legal documents, conducting legal research, and organizing case files. You will also be responsible for managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and coordinating communication with clients and other parties involved in legal matters. As a Legal Assistant, you will play a vital role in maintaining accurate and up-to-date legal records and documents.
To be successful in this role, you must have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, as you will be interacting with clients and other professionals on behalf of our legal team. Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures is highly desirable, as well as proficiency in using legal software and databases.

Responsibilities
Assist attorneys and paralegals in drafting and editing legal documents, such as contracts, pleadings, and briefs
Conduct legal research and gather relevant information to support case preparation
Organize and maintain case files, legal documents, and correspondence, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
Manage attorney calendars, schedule appointments, and coordinate meetings with clients and other parties
Communicate with clients and other professionals in a courteous and professional manner
Prepare and file legal forms, including court documents and administrative records
Assist in preparing for trials, hearings, and depositions, including organizing exhibits and preparing trial notebooks
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in paralegal studies or a related field
Proven experience as a legal assistant or in a similar role
Knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in using legal software and databases
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately
Detail-oriented and able to work independently or as part of a team
Hours Per Week: 35.00
Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:00
Pay Per Hour: £12.13
